Are the Yoga exercises safe?

Yoga has been practiced for thousands of years and there have been no reports of any adverse effect on the body. It is good to use common sense and not strain too hard while doing the exercises in yoga class. Gradual practice will enable you to do all the exercises without strain.

Should I talk to my doctor before starting yoga?

The Yoga exercises being taught are quite safe and easy for most people. However if you have any special conditions, it would be good to consult with your doctor. You should also discuss any special conditions with your yoga teacher.

What kind clothing do I need to wear at class time?

Special clothing is not required. Any loose fitting clothes which allow you to bend and stretch, would be appropriate. Shoes should not be worn during the lesson.

Do I need any special equipment?

No equipment is required for the yoga lesson. A rug or yoga mat which enables you to kneel and lie down comfortably will help. For communicating with the teacher, you need a computer with webcam, speakers and a microphone, and a broadband Internet connection. Please see technical requirements section for details.

What if I need to reschedule the class?

Please contact us 24 hours in advance to reschedule. It may be difficult to reschedule if the notice is too short.

What if my Skype connection does not work properly at the class time?

Please contact us immediately to find an alternative solution. We would suggest testing the connection at least a day in advance, so you can reschedule if your equipment is not working properly.

Can my spouse take the class with me?

Yes, but having two persons in the same session will dilute the attention each can receive and would slow the teaching process. Also, this would require a wide angle webcam to ensure that both students are in the viewing range. If you can work within these constraints, having two persons in the same lesson is fine, as long as both are at the same level of learning.
